Mendip Spring Golf and Country Club is located near Congresbury in North Somerset just off junction 21 of the M5 and a short drive from Weston-Super-Mare, Bristol and easy access to Bristol Airport.The Club House is centered around a 16th Century Farmhouse and great care has been taken to retain its character, the complex provides comprehensive bar and delicious home cooked bar menu available everyday. The old barn exterior at Mendip Spring adds charm to a completely refurbished interior with 5 elegant and comfortable en-suite rooms. Phils background as Executive Sous Chef working for an Award Winning Chain of Gastro Pubs in Surrey, and a Double Rosette Awarded Hotel Restaurant in Kent, will stand him in good stead at Mendip Spring. Phil states The Slow Braised West Country Lamb Shank is proving most popular and many clients have complemented us on our homemade puddings saying that they are fantastic!. The menu also features specialities such as Naturally Smoked Haddock and Leek Fishcakes, Pan Fried Duck Breast on Parsnip Mash with an Orange and Thyme Sauce and, if you still have room, Chocolate and Baileys Mousse (homemade of course) or the West Country Cheese Board with Biscuits and Grapes to finish.Located within a converted farmhouse, the restaurant has a cosy feel with stone fireplaces and stunning views of the golf course and countryside beyond.The Golf course is situated in the Wrington Vale against the backdrop of the Mendip Hills and characterised by 12 acres of lakes and waterways the 18 hole Brinsea championship course and the less challenging 9 hole Lakeside course offer quality golf in idyllic and natural surroundings.
