Ashton Court, Long Ashton

Saturdays

10am to 12 noon, Mountain bike sessions. These sessions take place every Saturday morning at Ashton Court and are coached by fully qualified and insured instructors for 9 - 19 year olds. The sessions have been running for over 2 years now and they are extremely well attended and popular, with many riders still riding from the very first session. New riders are joining all the time and you will always be made to feel welcome by all riders and instructors. Bikes and helmets are available for those who do not have their own and if you have your own bike it will be checked over for you on your first session to make sure it is ready to ride. Ranger Service Guided Walk - The Winscombe Valley. 2pm prompt, and lasts approximately 2½ hours. Meet outside the Woodborough Inn just off the A371 in the centre of Winscombe. Immortalised in the idyllic works of the much-loved authors Francis Knight and Theodore Compton, the Winscombe Valley is a place of particular charm: Encircled by ancient hills, watered by streams rising from mysterious springs, and dominated by the beautiful tower of the Fourteenth Century parish church. There is a charge of £3 per person. Steep gradients and rough ground. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for terrain and weather conditions. Please do not bring dogs on the walk.
